Plant sales that change lives

Treat yourself to high quality, low priced plants from Furzey Gardens.

The plant sales area is stocked with dozens of plants potted on by people with learning disabilities in our on-site nursery. Choose from a range of small annuals  to established perennials and small shrubs. You do not need to pay to enter the plant sales area.

Buying plants from Furzey Gardens is different to most gardens you will visit.

As well as our famously affordable prices and healthy specimens, we are well known for the fact that our plants are raised by people with learning disabilities.

From gathering seed, to pricking out to potting on and watering, the learning disability team are involved in every stage of raising the plants you buy.

Every time you purchase one of our plants you are supporting people to continue learning skills that help them live happier and healthier lives. Watch our video below to meet Joe, who has been working in our nursery for years. Thank you for all your support.

As part of our early 2026 fundraiser, Nursery Renewal Project, we warmly welcomed Tendring Care Home as a key supporter, helping to reinvigorate the nursery and support the learning that happens within it.

Leah Ann-Bond, registered manager, shared the following:

Based in Totton on the edge of the New Forest, Tendring is a 23-bed, privately-run care home dedicated to our residential and dementia community. We are proud to partner with Minstead Trust to support their mission of empowering individuals with learning disabilities. Their focus on fostering independence and well-being aligns perfectly with our own values.

By fundraising and creating employment opportunities, we aim to help unlock potential and build a more inclusive, supportive local community together.
