Furzey's famous fairy doors
Hunting for the tiny fairy doors hidden around the gardens is why many children love to visit Furzey Gardens time and time again.
Make family memories whilst you wander our winding paths, creep around the base of trees and explore our gardens. Delight in discoveries twisted in gnarled old oak, or nestled under bushes, tiny doors no more than a foot high.
From fairy schools to fairy meeting places or fairy stores to simple fairy homes, Furzey gives up its secrets slowly and you will need to look hard!
There are said to be over 40 of these secret fairy doors hidden around the gardens. Originally designed and carved by a master thatcher, today the fairies have help from our talented volunteers.
